I must be a total geek to find this cartoon (on Maud Newton’s fun blog) amusing – Poe and Derrida: The roommate years.

Or maybe it’s the fact that I’ve never been a huge Poe or Derrida fan.

Brideshead Revisited

Traded Sons and Lovers for Evelyn Waugh’s Brideshead Revisited. It’s a relief after Lawrence’s dense, dense prose. Waugh’s character Sebastian also has me thinking a lot about Oscar Wilde’s Dorian (pre-portrait dissolution). Hmmm, that doesn’t bode well for Sebastian.
