Digging In

So, last summer’s reading was child’s play.  I’m hunkering down to take exams this August and have the spreadsheet study plan to prove that I mean business. That means 250-300 pages per day, Monday-Friday.  The good news is that I won’t be juggling this with a summer job, but will be spending all my time buried-in-books.  Sort of like a science experiment – just how much will my little brain hold before it refuses any more?

My plan this summer is also to begin studying for my prelims, though ostensibly I am not taking my exams until March. I admire your organization! How did you compile the reading list for your exams? Did they assign you texts or did you choose them yourself?

  • An Alkan piano challenge has been leveled ‘gainst you. Not that you have time or energy to spare, but Alkan’s Festin d’Esope awaits. see my blog for details. It’s quite a piece of work.
