So, last summer’s reading was child’s play. I’m hunkering down to take exams this August and have the spreadsheet study plan to prove that I mean business. That means 250-300 pages per day, Monday-Friday. The good news is that I won’t be juggling this with a summer job, but will be spending all my time buried-in-books. Sort of like a science experiment – just how much will my little brain hold before it refuses any more?

My plan this summer is also to begin studying for my prelims, though ostensibly I am not taking my exams until March. I admire your organization! How did you compile the reading list for your exams? Did they assign you texts or did you choose them yourself?

An Alkan piano challenge has been leveled ‘gainst you. Not that you have time or energy to spare, but Alkan’s Festin d’Esope awaits. see my blog for details. It’s quite a piece of work.
